GREENCARE FOR TROOPS:

Participates in
“GreenCare for
Troops”
To
Support Local Military Families
RSG
Landscaping & Lawn Care, Inc. is participating in “GreenCare for Troops in
the Central Virginia and Roanoke Valley areas. “GreenCare for Troops” is a
nationwide outreach program initiated by Project EverGreen that connects
participating local lawn and landscape firms with families of the men and women
away from home serving our country in the armed forces.
In
announcing the new program, Duane Shumaker, Vice President, said, “Lawn and
landscape maintenance becomes a definite hardship when a family’s major
breadwinner is on active duty away from home. The “GreenCare for Troops” program
seeks to ease this stress by helping affected families with the important task
of caring for their yard and landscape.”
Families
interested in applying for the “GreenCare for Troops” program should contact
RSG Landscaping & Lawn Care, Inc. at [(434) 993-2753. Participation is
limited. To learn more and to complete an online application, they may also
access the Project EverGreen website at

Below is a letter
from one of the Project EverGreen recipients we are currently working with:
Dear
Ronnie,
I want
to thank you and your professional staff for taking care of my lawn while my
husband is deployed. This program you are participating in is something you
will be blessed for many years to come. I wish more companies would get
involved in supporting our troops. They are the reason we have freedom.
I can not say enough nice things about your staff. Tony Hicks
has always been very helpful in answering my questions. He always comes when
he says he is going to be here and he’s on time. The crew is very friendly
and they take extra time to weed my flower beds and make sure everything is
just right. I can not say how much I appreciate your efforts and what you
are doing. I’m not sure if you have other families you do this for, but I
can speak for our community that you should be commended for your efforts in
supporting deployed soldiers. My husband thanks you and says you had taken
a burden of worry off his mind by doing this. He worries how I will get all
the things done I need to get done with him away.
I tell
almost everyone I come in contact with about your company and your service.
I pray that God blesses you for all that you do. Remain faithful in Jesus
and he’ll bless you beyond your wildest dreams.
Please
share this letter with all your staff, especially Tony Hicks and the guys
that come out to take care of my yard. I want them to know how much I
appreciate them. Thank you so much and have a blessed day!
Sincerely,
Mary E. Hughes
